User protection under UK law

1. Fair trading and consumer rights

We aim to comply with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and related standards, including avoiding misleading actions or omissions and aggressive practices. Where you deal with us as a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 may give you rights regarding services, including that services are performed with reasonable care and skill and, where relevant, match information we gave you.

2. Pre-contract information

For distance and off-premises contracts with consumers, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 require clear pre-contract information (for example identity of the trader, main characteristics of the service, total price, and complaint handling). We provide key details on our about and contact pages and in quotations and contracts.

3. Electronic commerce

Where we offer services online, we follow the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 in spirit by making certain information available (for example who we are and how to contact us) and by acknowledging orders where applicable.

4. Data protection (privacy)

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Our privacy policy explains what we collect, why, your rights, and how to complain to the ICO.

5. Equality and discrimination

We are committed to providing services without unlawful discrimination, in line with the Equality Act 2010 and good business practice.

6. Modern slavery and ethical conduct

We conduct business ethically and expect similar standards from partners. While smaller businesses may not be subject to the full reporting duties of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we remain alert to exploitation risks in supply chains where relevant.

7. Complaints

If something goes wrong, contact us first using our contact details. We will try to resolve matters promptly. If you are a consumer and remain dissatisfied, you may refer the matter to Citizens Advice or, for data protection issues, the Information Commissioner’s Office. Alternative dispute resolution or court proceedings may be available depending on your contract and status.

8. Payments and refunds

Our approach to cancellations and refunds is set out in the refund policy, alongside any bespoke terms in your agreement.

9. Transparency on risk

We will not promise specific search rankings or advertising outcomes unless contractually justified and lawful. See our disclaimer for limitations on website content.
